Spicy Chai Tea
Indian Masala Tea
Yield: 1 quart
Ingredients

water

whole cloves
|
|
|

cinnamon stick
|
|
|
| 3-4 |
|
cardamom pods (cracked open)
|
|
|
| 1/4 |
cup |
loose black tea (or 4 tea bags)

| 2 |
cups |
milk
|
|
|
| 3-4 |
tablespoons |
sugar
|
|
|
Directions:
Combine water, cloves, cinnamon stick and cardamom and bring to a boil; simmer 5 minutes. Add black tea and steep for 5 minutes. Add milk and heat, but do not boil. When hot, strain and add sugar. Stir and serve immediately.
